This movie features a LOT of trauma around getting one's hair done. In the beginning, a relaxer is left in too long, leaving the protagonist with a scar into adulthood. There is a very intense and painful scene where the protagonist is getting a weave installed. She is crying and whimpering in pain throughout. Hair cutting and attempted hair cutting happens throughout the film.
