Seasoned musician Jackson Maine discovers — and falls in love with — struggling artist Ally. She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer — until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight. But even as Ally's career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.
This movie contains 17 potentially triggering events.
The main character is asleep when the love interest starts kissing her and this leads to them having sex (she wakes up, but she is very clearly asleep when it starts). It is not handled as an assault, and there is no comment about it. It is portrayed as completely allright even kinda romantic. This was very triggering for me, so yeah.
SPOILERS
When Jack goes to support Ally at the Grammy’s, he turns up very drunk and when on stage with Ally, he wets himself in front of everybody. It’s quite an intense and upsetting scene as she’s trying to protect him and escort him off stage.
There are few actual and implied sex scenes. E.g. the first one only shows characters undressing and heavy breathing/kissing sounds, no actual act. All of these scenes are consensual and short, nudity is shown very briefly, nothing heavily explicit.
