There's what @hyperjenb mentioned, along with JD behaving in a way that can count as stalking towards Veronica later - going so far as to enter her home through the window to kill her since she won't join him in his murder plans.

JD is neglected by his father.

As the other person said, JD gaslights Veronica into killing multiple people, and the three Heathers together gaslight Veronica into coming to a field with some rapists before abandoning her, and they gaslight Martha Dunstock into believing her crush likes her back, leading to her suicide attempt.

JD and Veronica's relationship is very abusive, but not physically, only mentally/psychologically

When Heather Chandler is about to die from drinking cleaning chemicals, she gasps for air multiple times depending on which production it is and yells “corn nuts” before dying

also adding onto other comment In Beautiful (the first song iirc) a guy makes a joke abt kidnapping a character, but is purely for comedy and if you really dont wanna hear it just cover ur ears after the heathers r introduced and everyone is saying stuff like “I wish the heathers were nicer” “rhat would be beautiful” it happens there

In most productions, vomit is only heard and not seen, coming from Heather Duke in the opening number and by Heather Chandler during the party, but this may vary depending on the performance and who is putting on the show.

It depends on the version you watch - the one I saw didn't have a hospital scene but some other people sound like they watched one that did.

a fat character is verbally harassed and given names, and a chubby/thin one (depending on the cast) is told to lose a few pounds.

JD, a very clearly mentally unstable person, is the main villain. He mostly shows signs of (a very poor representation of) ASPD, a highly stigmatized disorder.

some of the bootlegs have the public be /very/ noisy by clapping mostly, it hurt my ears. I only watched two but the West End one was the one that was the most difficult for me.

Two characters in the show, Martha and Heather McNamara, attempt suicide but fail. There is also a brief scene where Veronica prenteds to hang herself, but did not kill herself nor intend to kill herself. There are three characters who are murdered and framed to look like they killed themselves, but did not in fact kill themselves.

"Lifeboat" and "Shine a Light Reprise" make up a panic attack that leads to a suicide attempt.

There are a few mentions of Heather Duke having bulimia and she is seen throwing up in the first song, "Beautiful"

more or less depending on the version you watch, but they are filmed by hand and for ~2h so the person filming /will/ move a lot.

yes, during shine a light, mrs fleming choses someone from the audience (usually a middle aged man) and tell them to stand up. and during beautiful the ensemble will look at someone in the audience and ‘shout’ an insult too them (only for about a second)

It depends on who is cast as what in the play but if a black person is cast as Heather C. and dies first it is not because of the trope of having black characters die first.

The show has a few homophobic slurs sung in the first song, and another scene later has a parent of his dead & presumed gay (but not really) son showing disapproval of his son’s sexuality

In the first song, "Beautiful" "short-bus" is one of the insults said. It refers to SPED children having to ride a special bus to get to their school, one that is usually shorter.

Lots of slurs sung in succession during "Beautiful," lots of homophobia during the "Dead Gay Son" scene (though that ends happily), other hate speech scattered throughout

Yes - there is a lot of dry humping in the play to an uncomfortable extent. There is a song about blue balls or alternatively in some versions rape. There is also a lot of nudity but everyone still wears undergarments (bras and underwear).

One of the jocks hump Heather D. when she doesn't want them to in the "Big Fun" song and then in "Blue" they try to force Heather M., Heather D., and Veronica to have sex with them but it is played off for dark comedy and they never appear to be in any real danger - sometimes "Blue" is replaced with "You're Welcome" in some versions of the play. "You're Welcome" is much more blatantly rape-y to the point that it is uncomfortable to watch but no one is actually sexually assaulted/raped in that song either.

It depends on what you consider a happy ending - Veronica and Martha end the play on a relatively happy note with them becoming friends again but by that point 4 people have died and 2 have attempted suicide so it is very bittersweet.

There is an explosion but it is not nuclear - JD tries to bomb the school and ends up blowing himself up instead when Veronica objects.
