in the opening scene, a rat is caught in a humane trap and placed with several others, but don't get your hopes up - they are then put into a blender and blended. I paused it and came straight here after the trap (thank you to those who reviewed before me) but figured I'd add a comment after my husband watched the scene on mute and told me when it was over. One other dead rat is shown but no other animals are harmed, so you're safe after the first couple of minutes / before the title.
