Professor James Murray begins work compiling words for the first edition of the Oxford English Dictionary in the mid 19th century, and receives over 10,000 entries from a patient at Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum, Dr. William Minor.
This movie contains 5 potentially triggering events.
I don't know why there are two "nos".
I don't wish to spoil the movie, and this is only a minor spoiler: in the scene where Dr Minor 'injures himself', he steps out of his cell and approaches a guard. When he shows the guard his injury, the guard vomits. It is quick but fully on screen with audio and visuals. Not horrendous, but will trigger.
Later in the film, a 'treatment' is administered. The treatment involves guards making Dr Minor vomit repeatedly. The scene is prolonged and is a montage of lots of treatments over a period of days or weeks. Nothing is hidden from the camera and this scene will cause distress, even to those who are not emetohpobes.
I don't know why there are two "no's" it isn't shown on screen but it is directly implied to have happened as (spoilers) Dr. Minor becomes unresponsive due to the effects of electro-therapy. There is also early on a scene referencing a chair I believe they would use for electro-therapy. This will be triggering.
