Spaced: the anti-Friends, in that it examines the lives of common 20 somethings, but in a way that is more down to earth and realistic. Here we have Daisy and Tim; two 'young' adults with big dreams just trying to get by in this crazy world. They are thrown together in a common pursuit of tenancy, which they find by posing as a couple. The house has a landlady and an oddball artist living there. The series explores the ins and outs of London living.
This tv show contains 5 potentially triggering events.
There are a couple of weird scenes involving the landlady’s young teenage daughter, Amber. She’s rarely shown onscreen, but the adult Tim imagines her dancing in a way that implies he is fantasising about her and her friends.
In S1 E1, Tim and Daisy see something that makes them suddenly scream when they open the cupboard while viewing the new flat. Later in the episode something suddenly jumps out from the tall cardboard box Daisy finds while looking for Tim.
In S1 E2, in the dream sequence at the beginning, a monster jumps put at Tim after his ex says "As if".
The landlady is quite sexually aggressive towards a male character, which is played for laughs. Eventually he reciprocates her advances (but it’s implied that he might have done so to put her in a good mood, so that she lets Tim and Daisy keep the flat).
