Unsure if this counts but Hollum is basically convinced by the men on the ship that he is cursed.

Some people could consider the fact that teenagers are depicted taking place in a historical naval battle to be child abuse.

Characters are given substances which were used in historical times as addictive drugs (laudanum, etc) but in this movie they are only applied in a medical context.

Characters drink frequently throughout the movie, as was customary in the day. Some characters are seen drinking while under stress, which some viewers may consider abuse of alcohol, but it is rationed, well within their rights, and historically accurate.

One character is a naturalist who collects bugs for science. Although the bugs are never used in a frightening context, characters handle extremely large bugs, like stick insects, with their bare hands. There are close-ups on bugs and drawings of bugs.

Depending on your definition of "squashed"--a character is struck in the head by a heavy object, which fractures his skull and puts him in a coma. Later in the movie, another character performs surgery on him, removing part of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain, and replacing the removed part with a metal guard. During this surgery, part of the brain is visible. This injured character survives his wound but behaves a little oddly for the rest of the movie, suggesting he may have sustained some amount of brain damage. However, the other characters continue to treat him with respect.

In a manner of speaking. There are some quick shots of men falling from the masts and it's assumed this would be fatal for some. One in particular falls with a broken mast into the ocean, though he doesn't die directly from the fall, but from drowning (which is not seen).

Different types of injuries are shown, as well as several surgical procedures. They are not terribly graphic and there isn't an excess of blood, but some may find it bothersome as the characters' reactions to some of the injuries and surgeries is well-acted.

Around 49 minutes, during the storm, the film cuts below deck and at least two people vomit because of the roiling of the ship. It's over fairly quickly.

One of the main characters is a doctor working aboard a sailing ship during a time of war and his 1800s-era medical knowledge is a big focus of the movie. There are several surgery scenes shown in a makeshift field hospital/infirmary inside the ship. Wounded characters in distress are tied down and given straps to bite as they prepare for surgery without anesthetic. This is shown happening to both adults and children. A brain surgery scene is also shown. Later in the film, there's an extended surgery scene where a character successfully performs surgery on himself while others assist. He describes what he's doing in a pretty detailed way, and some images of this are shown.

Yes, there is often some shaky camera work meant to reflect the fact that they are on a ship at sea.
The camera is extremely shakey and dizzying during the final battle scene.

Characters in the movie experience amputations, brain damage, and other injuries that result in disability, but the rest of the crew continues to treat them fairly normally, even going out of their way to support and help them adjust to life with a disability. A teenage character whose arm is surgically amputated remains a major character and adjusts to performing his job well, remaining an active part of the crew.

There is a single black person on the ship that only appears in a few scenes. He is shown as a servant, which would be typical for the time and place, but he's also treated as if he's dim-witted.

The black characters on board are really neglected by the narrative. Which in this case means we hardly even get to see them participate in the action; or partocipatr in the plot.
