The movie takes place partially on farm-they show a few animals get eaten-including a porcupine, sheep and cow. They don't look real but it's still sad to see. Just a forewarning if you wanna watch the movie.

It's played for laughs, but Dave's (ex) girlfriend throws something at him during a fight where they are both screaming at each other.

Not really "abuse" but there is definitely some disturbing stuff that happens to kids, and around them. Aside from all the murder and zombies, there's also a scene where Dave inadvertently brings his nephew to see a couple having sex. Also, Teddy the children's entertainer screams furiously at the preschoolers. Some child zombies are also killed.

The zombies eat many animals: cows, sheep, goats, an echidna, and probably more. We don't see the deaths but we do see zombies feasting on dead animals and it's quite gory.

Australia's dangerous spiders were mentioned but strangely the film didn't show any.

No assault, but Teddy and the puppeteer make crude remarks to Miss Caroline. There's also a potentially disturbing scene where Dave masturbates to a photo of Miss Caroline standing by her class of preschool students. He's obviously interested in the adult woman and not the kids, but it's creepy.

All the kids survive from the main preschool class that Lupita Nyong'o's character is protecting. Some slightly older children who aren't characters in the film become zombies, and we see the child-zombies being killed rather graphically.
