A dog fights a wolf off-camera. The dog is okay. There are sounds of the fight and we can assume that the wolf is not okay but he is not seen. Dog returns a hero.

Okay, this is a stretch but for those who know that the actor playing R.F. is Alexander Skarsgård, his brother Bill Skarsgård plays Pennywise the Clown in the new IT films. A scene towards the end, if you listen closely, RF starts singing in the Pennywise voice. Whether you find this comedic or triggering is, of course, a matter of personal taste, and might be a reach and a half, lol. But I thought I'd mention it because it was very much noticed and discussed with the people I viewed it with.

The slurs “F**b” and “t**d” are used. Also “handy capable” is used by a disabled man when referring to himself (some consider this phrase insulting/patronizing).

I’m going to say yes, overall, the ending is sad. (SPOILERS) Humanity is mostly wiped out, the dark man is not truly defeated, most of the main characters don’t survive.

This is one of my triggers: it didn't bother me too much because of how quick the scene was. Also - and this is just a matter of taste, but - I found the scene to be more comedic than anything (unintentionally, for sure). I think you'll know what I mean when you see it. The similar scene at the end of the original Stephen King miniseries, however, seriously did disturb me. Just something to keep in mind.
