One important character has a missing eye but it is covered with a patch, and how it happened is never depicted or even mentioned in dialog.

There is a scene near the end of the movie where one of the main characters forces a mind meld on another character to obtain information. Key information is gotten from the mind meld, and it is accurate. When the main char. pushes for information that the victim does not know, she gasps/yells in pain, and only then does another character believe it has gone too far. The whole thing is treated as shocking and somewhat disturbing, but ultimately justified given the circumstances.

A tall blue alien gets kicked in the shins, where their genitals are, during a brawl on Rura Pente. It clearly causes them pain but there's no gore.

But there is a mention of Hitler. During a conversation primarily between Klingon and Human characters where Shakespeare is being quoted, a Klingon character says "We need breathing room." The human character attributes this as a quote from "Earth, Hitler, 1938."
