A rapist targets a very young woman, the first victim is just barely 18. The second victim he makes put on doll-like makeup, and he tells her he wants to make her to look “like a hooker and a little girl” both.
A teenage girl dances very suggestively at a party in a park. It’s not a party with only her peers, there are guests of all ages. An adult asks her to stop and tell her it’s inappropriate.
Women are brutalized and photographed by a serial rapist. This happening in the shows storyline, it’s not something the show itself was doing for shock value.
Not in the traditional sense but rape can and should count for this. If so several women are raped however, their genitals are never shown so it is unclear if they were damaged.
No, but there is an autistic young man who is automatically suspected in a rape case just because he lives in the same apartment complex as the victim. He is very obviously not the perpetrator.
I would say that Marie is betrayed by her foster mom when her foster mom implies *to the cops* that Marie is lying about being raped, and has attention-seeking behaviors. It’s also stated that she’s had a string of unreliable, neglectful, or abusive parental figures in her life.
A bit later, she is told by a former foster father that he can no longer be alone with her (due to the “false” rape allegations) and it clearly hurts her a lot and feels like abandonment to her.
There is a deceased deer pictured on the floor in the woods while one of the main characters is jogging in season 1, episode 5. Her two dogs run up to it and sniff it. It looks as if it has decayed, but is not too bloody.
The entire series is about sexual assault. There are flashbacks of assaults throughout, sometimes unexpectedly, which may be difficult to handle for sensitive viewers.
While cops are a main focus of the show and they do succeed in their mission they repeat several times that the system doesn't always work and there are SO MANY mentions of cops who are bad at their job and/or terrible people.
No but there is an autistic young man who is automatically suspected in a rape case just because he lives in the same apartment complex. He is fortunately unaware of what’s happening.
Some moments from episode 2 onward can definitely be perceived that way. For instance in what I believe was episode 3 Marie hides next to some stairs because she's too afraid to leave her home.

Several women are raped, only 3 have flashbacks and those show no nudity. In episode 7 a character named Christopher is naked and his penis is visible.
Yes because Victim #2 is raped at gunpoint. The gun was not fired, sure, but threatening someone with a gun, let alone raping them at gunpoint, is absolutely gun violence. Kinda surprised so many people said no.
