Though it's not physical abuse, the way one main character's parents treat him as a child would likely be considered emotional abuse and can be distressing.

Locked-Room Mystery has a victim who police believe died from self-inflicted wrist cutting, but the player soon finds out that the body was only made to look like that after death. Behind the Lies includes a nonlethal wound that is carved into someone. Aside from these cases, the surgery and orthopedics missions both involve cutting into sedated people in a surgical sense, and everyone you work with recovers.

You can play as a diagnostician and sometimes your patients have respiratory issues. In a cutscene during the second endoscopy operation, a character is administered life-saving medicine and immediately begins to gasp for air.

This is common in Orthopedic and First Response missions. First Response patients can have broken arms and legs, and it is your job to correct the bone and splint it. Patients can die if you do it incorrectly. Orthopedics, while dealing with broken bones, actually contains little to no blood and is one of the least gory game modes. It does involve you using drills and screws to secure bones in place.

Common in First Response missions with patients convulsing. It is in the form of camera shaking, and the patient will make some verbal noises of distress.

While the depictions of the surgery don't seem TOO real, there is still a bit of graphic imagery.

Surgery, Endoscopy, and First Response all use needles, which are mandatory to complete the game. In Demons and Death, syringes are found on a victim's personal effects, but the needles, themselves, are not used.

Naomi, attempting to identify a skeletonized corpse, cites phrenologist Blumenbach, citing things about the skull shapes of different races. This is extremely false information and I have absolutely no idea why Atlus put this in the game.

During Demons and Death, Naomi directly cites phrenology from Blumenbach to determine "race" of a skeleton. It seems the writers did not do their research into what is actual science?

Police officers hold people at gunpoint but don't shoot. A woman gets shot in a shopping mall. During Carpet of Blue Death, you examine the body of someone who was shot. You analyze the bullet holes to figure out trajectory, distance, etc.
