On Halloween, a group of friends encounter an "extreme" haunted house that promises to feed on their darkest fears. The night turns deadly as they come to the horrifying realization that some nightmares are real.
after witnessing the death of another character, they are gaslighted into thinking that their friend agreed to be a part of the show and is waiting for them outside, they are gaslighted by the guy who says that he will lead them out of the haunt also
The main character believes the boyfriend she has just broken-up with is following her group. Characters are followed and watched around a haunted house attraction with malicious intent.
At the Halloween party, the group drinks Spider Vodka. The bottle is shown to contain a dead spider, referred to as a Ceremonial Spider. Nobody drinks/eats/touches the spider, and it is only shown once.
As for the bucket scene, it is extremely tough to say what is in the bucket. Even shown up close, the bones are unidentifiable, and it could be fur or hair from human or animal. So, I voted YES for the dead spider, but you really have to be an expert to identify what’s in the bucket. Just unidentifiable gore.
There is a prominent scare during one scene of the movie where spiders can be seen moving about, then poured into an enclosed space with an arachnophobic character. They are dismissed as “fake” afterwards, but they appear to be moving and real.
Yes, do not watch this if this is a trigger.
*SPOILERS*
basically every main character either gets their head squashed or torn apart. No idea why people have voted ‘No’ for this.
When one of the characters is reaching under a chain link fence to reach a metal stick, her hand gets stepped on and there’s an audible crunch. It is not gory.
Later on towards the end of a movie, a man also gets his hand crushed by a brick.
the main character stabs a guy in the eye with a key, and she later jams her thumb into it. there are also many stabbings that come close to peoples eyes
replying to the other comment- yes, they are humans. their faces are like that because they get cosmetic surgery and tattoos (it's mentioned that one of them is a tattoo artist and a character talks abt "earning their face"). it seemed to me like a cult sort of thing but that's not explicitly stated
Kinda, harper has flashbacks. Or she just looks very distant. There were also sense that I feel like kinda just felt like things we weird and didn't seem real.
While this is a gory movie (no worries,it’s not vomit worthy in my opinion),that means some won’t survive. So the ending has a more bittersweet feeling to it? I personally love the two characters that survived and am happy with that. But I can see where others can be upset at the loss of the other characters.
