Getting called a 'kidder' for being unable to remember who you or anyone else is? Just part and parcel of the experience.

During a cutscene at the school, a child will have their skull bashed in (look away for a while if a kid brings up the effectiveness of duck-and-cover). One child will be buried alive, and recovering her will have her report being touched inappropriately by the perpetrator. While not a child per se, a young woman is *treated* like a child and trapped in her room. The player character is allowed to attack certain children.

The main character's mother is later shown to have done...something very extreme to your dad/her husband. The details are deliberately truncated, but he's entirely bandaged and there's a lot of blood around. In addition, messing up the sequence to sneak into where Dad is has Mom show up...This ends poorly.

In addition to the whole spider-wasp-baby thing, there's the Wasp Woman and her infested abode. You can go through the game just never talking to her or going to her place.

If you rescue a child after she's buried alive, she can report that the man who buried her touched her inappropriately (as best as a child can).

as stated in other comments, a little girl is abducted and buried alive, and says that her captor touched her (as well as she could). this same man is very clearly attracted to his daughter and although she is an adult the implications are there

The baby in the crib in Steve's home may have their eyes pop out thanks to eating a spider with wasp eggs in it. It's clearly CGI, like...many things in this game, but it's still unpleasant! In addition, late-game requires Steve to slash open a large eye in order to open a passageway.

I don't believe it's shown on screen, but there's a scene with multiple mentions and implications of mutilation happening during sex. It isn't explicitly said whether it's genital as well, but being mindful is good.

There is a part where the game suddenly cuts to Mr. Potsdam screaming which can be startling. Entering some of the rooms in the Lodge could also maybe be considered jumpscares as they immediately have sudden loud noises and something attacking you.

The police department is remarkably ineffectual--unless it's *you* causing problems, of course, in which case you're toast. (Though it serves a purpose within gameplay--killing a character that still has a role to play would doom you anyway.) They show up a lot, and never in a very sympathetic light.

Father has a peephole into his daughter's room and calls his wife "mother" at least once, as well as if you type the keyword f**k to who's considered Steve's mother, she will actually offer. Nothing happens from it but she's genuinely willing.

The child Jimmy will pull out a gun if you fail to put out the paper for him long enough, or attack him. Failing to infiltrate your Dad's room will result in your mom shooting you. Late-game has a variety of possible weapons usable by you and foe alike.
