In the scenes shown outside of Vlad's castle, there are shots of rotted bodies that have been impaled upon spikes, though the camera does not show close-ups of them and they are largely in the background. There's surprisingly little blood during the battle scenes, but some characters do have blood coming out of their mouths during fighting. In one of the final scenes, there is a significant spray of blood that covers the helmet of a soldier while the man is violently killed off camera. During the battle scenes, you see characters being cut and stabbed, but there is no blood or excessive gore.
