There is no rape but the selkie being trapped on land while her husband holds her skin could be considered coercion

No one believes the girl when she says she saw her brother. This goes on for a while, but I wouldn’t call it gaslighting because it’s not intentional

There is a scene where they’re gutting dead fish. A little gross but not disturbing, in my opinion

At one point a man (cousin Tadhg) cleaning a fish angrily stabs a knife into the table in response to being teased. Some littles that I have watched the film with jumped when he did it. I know this isn't technically a jump scare but it seems like it should go here. Tadgh is not bad.

In a story it is referenced that some sailors would "swallow their draft of water & swim to the bottom" if they were thrown overboard in a storm but it isn't depicted & doesnt happen to any characters.

In a flashback, a child is taunted by his classmates who stand in a circle around him and call him an idiot in an Irish dialect (edjit).

A story is told about a whole family of seamen who are caught in a storm and "swallow their draft of water and swim to the bottom" (willingly drown rather than fight the sea). One sole survivor fights to stay afloat and is saved. He is the only one who you see in the water.
