A bird dies at least once from hitting a windshield. I believe there are more instances of bird deaths. Unsure about other animals

There's use and abuse of prescription drugs, most notably in the first season

Addiction to pills Abuse of prescription drugs Addiction to blood (Stefan's lack of control is written exactly like addiction and could be triggering)

First instance that comes to mind is a vampire being tortured by being bound with vervain (an herb that harms them) soaked ropes and then cut. There are numerous other occasions though.

First instance to come to mind is in 1x22 where it shows many people people being burned alive. I believe people being burned alive is a recurring thing though.

First that comes to mind is 1x16 when someone gets their eyes gouged out (they're a vampire and do recover from fast healing but oof)

There is relatively frequent self harm to draw blood for vampires to drink or to turn people. This has been done by cutting and biting theirself

Vampires talk about eating people, and take bites out of them so in a way its like cannibalism

I believe this happens more than once but specifically in 1x22 and 2x1 they show someone getting their fingers cut off with a knife, at the end and beginning of the episodes respectively

In season 6 there is a teddy bear wich literally fell apart cause of being old and in the ground for years (later they mend him). It's also kicked (actually it was very funny scene but propably not for everyone)

Mistakes To Avoid When Cleaning Teak Shower Chairs And Benches Some tips and tricks are surrounding the maintenance of your teak shower bench. This will ensure that your teak shower bench stays in the best condition at all times. Say NO to power washers. While cleaning a teak shower bench, it is highly advisable not to use power washers. This is because they generally operate at high pressures and can damage the wood, and can cause water to seep into the cracks causing further damage.

*spoilers* In season 2, both Mason and Tyler retch and gag and possibly vomit from drinking Wolfsbane before they turn into a werewolf. I forgot which episode Mason was but Tyler is episode 11. Masons is a little hard to catch (and it’s on a video that is watched), but Tyler’s is easy because you know it’s coming from seeing what happened to Mason. Sound is bad, not so much visual. Also in season 3, ep 18, Sage and another guy gag and then vomit blood or liquid around the 28 minute mark. Season 4, ep 2. At 4:30ish immediately after Stefan and Elena make out against the tree, she quickly runs away and is shown gagging/possibly vomiting on the ground. Same episode at just before 17 min, after Elena talks to April in the church it cuts to her vomiting blood in a toilet and then in the sink. Very graphic. Season 4, Episode 10: At about 26:20 April starts coughing in a classroom with Bonnie and then vomits up a bunch of water. Season 5, ep 2. Just before 2:30 Katherine is shown in the woods looking sick and possibly vomits by a tree. Same episode a few minutes later, Elena is with Stefan by the water and she starts vomiting a TON of water, it was very graphic and the sound was bad. Season 5, ep. 7. Around the two minute mark when Silas and the couple are at the bus stop, the male starts vomiting blood and retching. Season 6, ep 4. At about 5 minutes in, Jeremy suddenly vomits into a blue bag. It’s extremely sudden, it cuts right to the scene after Elena and Stefan are talking on his motorcycle. Season 6, ep 15 (to add to other comment) after Jo vomits, Kai shows up at the door and also suddenly vomits. He also vomits again at 11 minutes in. Season 7, ep 6. “Jo” vomits right after Caroline feeds her her blood at about 19:45. Season 7, ep 17. At about 13 minutes in, Stefan is running thru the woods handcuffed and he drops to his knees and gags and vomits. Same episode he vomits again around 29:30. Season 7, ep 18. “Stefan” suddenly vomits blood into a bag while in the car with Damon. Opening scene, 50 seconds in. Season 8, ep 1. A girl vomits blood with Caroline at 27:45ish. Season 8, ep 6. Enzo gags and vomits in a bowl at 12 minutes. It’s a cut scene so be careful. Mute/look away after Caroline and Alaric go into the empty diner. Season 8, ep 15. (Multiple scenes, all same person): Matt’s mom goes into a bathroom with a bloody nose and vomits blood in the sink at about 10:40. Same episode at 20:15, she vomits again after Peter says “I gave it to Stefan already”. Same episode, at 35:40 at the wedding right after Damon grabs her throat. And again at 41:05 after Vicki rings the bell.

There's a very graphic scene of Caroline (as a vampire) being mind controlled to cut her wrist repeatedly.

This is especially common and can be very triggering, as the vampires have a compulsion ability that allows them to make people forget things and that forces them to believe what they're being told

There are multiple times, especially in the first season, in which a character is under compulsion and has sex with a main character. Technically the character expressed interest, but after being compelled, they can’t really give proper consent.

A significant number of black people and people of color are murdered by vampires. The town is historically racist (slavery). *Making notes here since there is still no "racism" category on this site.

I don't know what the hell is up with all these No responses. There is absolutely domestic violence. Tyler Lockwood is repeatedly verbally abused and is also slapped by his father. Anna is slapped by her mother. etc.

This happens many times. First time is episode one in the first few minutes. Most often, it's a vampire attempting to injure people in cars and kill them.
