Tripper is the head counselor at a budget summer camp called Camp Northstar. In truth, he's young at heart and only marginally more mature than the campers themselves. Tripper befriends Rudy, a loner camper who has trouble fitting in. As Tripper inspires his young charges to defeat rival Camp Mohawk in the annual Olympiad competition, Rudy plays matchmaker between Tripper and Roxanne, a female counselor at Northstar.

A 6 year old camper brings a pet frog to camp. When he shows it to fellow campers he thinks it's sleeping, but it is dead. This isn't treated in a nasty way, as the adult assures him it maybe is sleeping and he will take care of it. Just don't know what the point of it was. There are no other animals in the movie.

There is talk among the boys of which girl "wants it", and how far they got when alone with a girl, but nothing happens. Two counselors have sex in the woods in the dark, but nothing is shown, just their clothes scattered around after, and then they go skinnydipping, but there is no nudity. A female counselor reads an erotic book aloud to her friends. Girls talk about getting their period and argue about when it is possible to get pregnant.
