Adding on to the previous comment, !!!!!!![MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD]!!!!!!! one of these minors which is abused throughout the book (well, at least when he’s introduced and thereafter), and later tortured extensively and eventually killed is a main character. He’s also the most sympathetic character, making his death all the more gut wrenching.

It’s a book, so it’s not visual of course. But this book falls under the subgenre of “splatter punk” in which any detestable topic normally seen in horror is described to an extreme degree. Very very detailed imagery. This book does not hold back when describing gore. I can’t say which chapters/pages because truly, almost the entire book is filled with it.
