While leading a police investigation of a massacre in a public school at the border of Mexico and U.S.A, special Agent Emanuel Ritter links this strange case to the coming and rising of the ancient demon Belzebuth. But in order to stop the trail of upcoming infanticides, Ritter shall have to confront himself before dealing with the forces of good and evil.
This movie contains 2 potentially triggering events.
One of the main characters is a cop, and he is portrayed sympathetically for the most part, but he frankly admits to the corruption of his police force, government, and even himself at times.
However, during a scene that features empty cells/cages used for human trafficking (or so it's implied), at least one child's toy is seen abandoned in one of the cells.
Lots of kids die throughout. The most intense scene takes place at the hospital, but there are a handful of scenes were groups of children die or have been murdered.
Babies cry fairly naturally in the hospital scenes at the beginning of the film ("naturally" is not enough to erase the trauma of these scenes), and a baby is heard crying in flashback later on.
the main character walks around a street full of sex workers and it is implied he has sex with one of them but no actual sex is shown just implied and mentioned once later in the movie. there is no sexual assault implied or shown
