Rumored to have been lost, Antrum appears as a cursed film from the 1970s. Viewers are warned to proceed with caution. It’s said to be a story about a young boy and girl who enter the forest in an attempt to save the soul of their recently deceased pet. They journey to “The Antrum,” they very spot the devil landed after being cast out of heaven. There, the children begin to dig a hole to hell.
This movie contains 46 potentially triggering events.
The mom for no reason that we can understand tells Nathan that the family dog they euthanized has gone to hell. Arguably the whole plot of the movie could've been avoided if she hadn't been an ass.
On multiple levels, both within the fictional movie Antrum, within the context of the fictional framing sequences within the real (but fictitious) movie Antrum, and arguably at the level of the 'real' movie Antrum
A man kidnaps a girl and her younger brother and taunts the girl and takes her jacket off of her while she is in a small cage. She appears to be a teen.
There is a depiction of the brazen bull torture, where someone is locked inside a steel structure (in this case a Baphomet statue) with a fire heating up the metal. Someone dies from this, while another character gets saved from this fate in the nick of time. Two characters are also locked inside a cage.
Two people are placed in a brass bull like torture device, after being kidnapped. There are shots included from (fake) snuff films that include and imply torture.
Unclear--the movie itself is presented as being 'possessed' (although possibly just as a result of mundane audio-visual trickery), and we're told about bizarre behavior by people who've seen the movie that suggests demonic possession.
Nathan has scratches on him he says demons put there, they are not gory but a little bloody. There is also a really bloody dog’s bite, but you can easily avoid seeing it when the dog goes in to bite him look away until the tin can tink.
They find a gun early on, and it is unsuccessfully used twice. The hunters that kidnap them have guns and appear to shoot them, but it is implied they are tranquilizer guns. She shoots and kills both the hunters later. There is a gun in the snuff film sections that flash in.
