In the anarchic town of Seaside, nowhere near the sea, puppeteers Judy and Punch are trying to resurrect their marionette show. The show is a hit due to Judy's superior puppeteering but Punch's driving ambition and penchant for whisky lead to a inevitable tragedy that Judy must avenge.
This movie contains 6 potentially triggering events.
Punch has both his hands sliced off while he is strung up at the gallows at the end of the movie. They show his hands left hanging (bloody and dripping) and then pan to his bloody, squirting stumps as he cries on the gallow floor.
I don’t think the bird in this scene dies, it’s a magic trick. The character as we learn wouldn’t kill an animal (At that stage in her life, as she couldn’t even skin the already dead rabbits)
Punch gets drunk, and trips while holding his infant daughter and trying to chase after an animal. The baby goes flying out of an open window, but the aftermath of this is not shown.
