In S3E4, an annoying woman has a purse dog. You hear a yip as Doc backs over it with his car. The dog died instantly. Naturally the Doc decides it best to wrap the deceased pooch in newspaper and bring it to the party the annoying woman is attending. He's looking for her with the dog in his arms. People try to talk to him not knowing the bundle of newspaper is a dead dog. It's comedic. As someone who refuses to watch movies where a dog dies this was fine for me; I just closed my eyes when the dog's corpse was on screen, although you might want to skip this episode if you've had a dog that was tragically backed over with a vehicle.
Not sure, it is said that the character of Martin has "Asperger's" and he is typically seen as "strange" and not "normal" compared to the other townsfolk characters, but I don't recall there any offensively misinterpreted autistic characteristics or misrepresentation
two minor characters have gynecomastia, which is an increase in the amount of breast gland tissue in boys or men. An imbalance of the hormones oestrogen and testosterone causes it, which upsets them greatly and are made fun of by local village girls briefly
Several of the adult characters were abandoned by one or both of their parents, it is discussed occasionally throughout the seasons, but there are no flashbacks or anything
Season 3 episode 3 a dead badger is being burned on a funeral pyre by an irritating couple.
There is also mention in the episode that a cat will need to be put down for carrying TB but only mention.
In season 4 episode 6 a poacher brings dead fowl and a dead fawn into the local restaurant.
