Not intentionally or outright abusive, but Luke's mother is extremely mentally ill which is shown to result in a violent suicide attempt that almost ends in Luke being killed/badly injured. She is also implied to be a neglectful parent as a result.
After Luke takes the curtain off the doll house, he goes to a desk which has a preserved tarantula. It is not focused on but it is clearly in the frame for about 5-10 seconds. If you close your eyes until you hear footsteps you'll be good.
this is tough to answer, as its not in the typical sense. a character is possessed and the possessor has sex with someone in his body while the character begs the possessor to stop. i would consider the answer to be yes, but some people may disagree.
BIG SPOILERS!!!!!! . . . . When Daniel takes over Luke's body for the first time on screen, Daniel does something that Like wishes to stop and when he tries to put his hand on Daniel/his own body there is a quick cut showing it severed his hand..
A character appears to force another character's mouth open, unhinging their jaw. They don't actually break any bones, but the scene is likely to be triggering.
Luke has a seizure after going to a rave with flashing lights. He falls from standing and when costumed party goers look over to help he has a short but startling visual hallucination.
A character appears to force another character's mouth open, dislocating their jaw and presumably damaging the teeth in the process. They remain intact, but the scene would likely be triggering.
No, but - SPOILERS - a mother almost dies at the beginning of a forced overdose after her child slips her medication. The aftermath and her struggling could potentially be triggering to anyone who's lost a parent in a reminiscent way.
Heavily depends on your definition. Luke is possessed by a demonic entity, but the way it plays out is very reminiscent of typical media depictions of DID with a harmful/violent alter. It could remind someone of such misrepresentation or of negative experiences with their alters etcetera.
Not in those words, but Luke forces his mother to hold a pair of scissors to his neck and says "Let go or kill me" in order to force her to put them down.
