I don’t know another section to use for this fact, but be warned: when ED-209 falls down a flight of steps and can’t stand up, it releases blood-curdling screams that sound like screaming pigs. According to the sound team behind the scenes, they used real pig screams from a slaughterhouse to achieve the sound. So, while not harmed for the film, if you don’t want to hear real pigs suffering and dying, you will want to skip this scene. It is a haunting noise.

On the surface, the film appears to be pro-cop propaganda, and some viewers will likely interpret it this way, but the message of the film is very anti-capitalist and rather ambivalent towards law enforcement. They are portrayed as pawns of a big corporation, which culminates when the corporation literally buys the police force and uses their money to create a robot police officer, stripping the main character of his humanity to serve the needs of a corporation.
