Greg Davies is the Taskmaster, and with the help of his ever-loyal assistant Alex Horne, they will set out to test the wiles, wit, wisdom and skills of five hyper-competitive comedians. Who will be crowned the Taskmaster champion in this brand new game show?
During a price task in series 7, Rhod brings a video that shows him in Greg's closet and films Greg sleeping. Rhod and Greg are friends, and Greg calls it creepy but that was the point of the task (bring the creepiest thing).
Little spiders shown very occasionally in the lead up to tasks from S3 onwards. In S5 or S6, the title card has a spider in. In S10E10, the first task is around putting shoes onto a giant fake spider in the garden. The spider however looks incredibly realistic.
Not exactly but in season 19 during the home video task (idk the episode exactly) jason mantzoukas dresses as a little girl learning how to ride a bike and alex horne is hiding in a bush then proceededs to say "i like the hairy girl" could potentially be triggering
There are a few mentions of clowns in the series. In series 3, episode 2 (The Dong and the Gong), Paul Chowdhry dresses as a clown in a task attempt. Meanwhile, series 14 features a circus theme in the Taskmaster house, complete with clowns.
In the first task, Rosie Ramsey has to do something challenging. She did a maths sum and it made her v* quite a few times. She commentates on herself and says the word a few times. She does it at the start of the task, then I think about three times afterwards.
For the prize task, Rosie brings what she describes as a life-sized interpretation of her monthly period. It's a giant bloody costume covered in tampons and sanitary pads.
Greg frequently discusses his own weight in a self-deprecating way, talks about diets and directly instruct the viewers to "stop eating", to exercise, and he talks about calories ect. He's often looking straight into the camera during those moments. There are also a lot of "gross out" tasks where contestants have to eat disgusting things and some end up vomiting. There are also several other occasions of binge eating and vomiting. (see "is there vomiting" for episodes and time stamps)
The scene where they have to paint on their backs has several contestant be right under the canvas with only 6 inches of space to fit into. The canvas is open around the edges which is letting the light in. The camera is close to the face of the contestants.
Around 16:30 there is about 30 seconds of shakey camera. They read the task during this which is: "with this camera strapped to your head, record the most incredible footage. You have 10mn to plan your footage and 10mn to record it."
Greg frequently judges and criticises the supposed intelligence of the participants, often ignoring the influence of circumstances, disability, height ect. In S17E10, Greg refers to a task as a "basic intelligence test".
Joked about in season 3, where Rob Becket and Sarah Pascoe (who are unrelated) are paired together for a task. Their team name is “The Siblings” and in S03E04 (A Very Nuanced Character) they play a married couple.
Greg and Alex's relationship is essentially a dom/sub dynamic played for laughs. It's obviously consensual and I find it very funny and occasionally heart warming.
In the season with Ian sterling and Joe Thomas there is a task where they must create the most realistic injury from food, some are quite realistic. It would be easy to skip this task when it is introduced. In the same season there is a task to make the tastiest dust and both sian Gibson and Paul sinha cut themselves whilst grating food
