There is a car accident where a car hits a deer and the deer gets trapped halfway through the windshield. A main character was sitting in the back seat of the car as a child and vividly recalls the traumatic scene several times.

There are no actual ghosts. However, there are several instances of an imaginary friend/alternate personality being visible to only the lead character and the viewer. This may be disturbing for some.

There are some moments where crows caw or a wolf lunges that might count.

In the first episode when the family are told what happened to their daughter, the youngest daughter v*. You can tell just before it happens.
Same episode, during the autopsy the police guy looks like he might v*, and then runs off, but you don't see anything.
There are a few passing mentions of v*/s*, but the two instances of it that I remember happening are in the first episode (e.g. later when the oldest daughter warns her sister to stop or she'll get s*, nothing happens).

The killer of the primary case is caught, but the older case remains unsolved. The lead characters no longer speak to each other by the end of the series.
