Kat Baker is an up-and-coming, high-level single skater who is about to turn in her skates after a disastrous fall. When Kat seizes an opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with a talented bad-boy partner, she risks exposing a fiercely kept secret that could unravel her entire life.

She forces her daughters to practice until they end up hurt, and she slapped her oldest daughter. She's tyrannical, and extremely narcissistic and selfish. She shouldn't be in their lives. She is extremely emotionally abusive. And even worse when she's off her meds. (Abusive parents is a big trigger for me. Especially when it's emotional/psychological abuse)
