In a dream sequence, it shows the protagonists hunting the giant rabbit (nothing graphic). There's another instance where the giant rabbit gets caught in an explosion along other characters, but in a future episode it's shown to be fine.

Yes, the two main antagonists were abused when they were young and that is connected to their current cruel actions. Worth noting that for one of these characters, their trauma is acknowledged by the main cast and they make an effort to help this character work through it and stop taking it out on others.

Season 1 Episode 1 11:55- cute butterfly dies dramatically in poisonous plant. Shortly after a roasted spider is shown - hunting happened off screen. One main character goes through a death and rebirth cycle throughout the show multiple times. A megabunny is "hunted" but captured alive. There is one scene where imaginary creatures in a dream state crumble to pieces. Some creatures are knocked out in a fight (wolf's staff has knock out poison in the tip) but they show up later. There are THREATS of killing though like eating some characters for dessert. For a show with a lot of combat there isn't a lot of death.

There are a lot of battle scenes in the show with anthropomorphic animals, but I wouldn't call it typical "animal abuse".

Mutes are anthropomorphized mutated animals, so they have some weird physical abilities. There’s a frog with an extremely long sticky tongue, a bug who loses limbs and regenerates through different life stages, and a main character who goes through a massive physical change that is confusing and frightening to them at first. It’s all appropriate for kids so no gore or anything but there’s definitely weird body stuff.

Okay, this may he a stretch but I think it's still relevant. This is a show that's in a way also handling eugenetics. With [spoilers] Kipo being half mutant as a science experiment and a group of scientists (and her parents in the past) researching a "cure" to take away speech and intelligence from the mutants and depower them. This is similar to the not so long ago/still happening practice of sterilizing/imprison/mudering people with physical or mental disability and can be hard to watch. It's handled well in the show, stating clearly that it's not right to do that (kipos parents change their minds before she's born and hide the formular for the "cure" and the scientist, who work to find and (later on) use it on mutants are very clearly the bad guys. Some mutants lose lose their ability to speak/intelligence, reducing them to their animal form. It's portraiyed as great loss in the show and they are lovingly cared for by their friends/partners/family - still being part of it all.

There are no nuclear explosion depicted on screen. It is possible that there could have been in the past as the series takes place in a post apocalyptic version of our world. The reason for this hasn't been given as of season one, but it is heavily implied to be at the hands of humans. That and the "mutes" may lead someone to come to the conclusion that nuclear warfare was part of that world's lore.
