ReportWhen a freighter is viciously attacked in the Pacific Ocean, a team of experts -- including biologist Niko Tatopoulos and scientists Elsie Chapman and Mendel Craven -- concludes that an oversized reptile is the culprit. No dragons appear in this movie, however a giant Dinosaur-like Mutated Iguana and many of it’s offspring are killed. However one offspring survives.

There is no assault but there is sexual harassment. A woman’s boss implies that if she sleeps with him, he will let her advance in her career. Era typical workplace sexism is shown multiple times.

There is a scene where a man prompts another man to talk. He won’t, so the first man pulls out a lighter and shows it to the man, with the flame lit. I thought they implied they would torture/burn the man if he didn’t talk. The man talks.

Matthew Broderick's character gets kidnapped by the French Secret Service, but he decides to work with them and it isn't particularly traumatic.

This movie was in 1998 but still has kaiju standard destruction of a major city and…this EXTREMELY awkward line “this is the worst thing to happen to New York since the 1993 World Trade Center bombings”

There is a scene of a fisherman visibly panicking as he fears for his life. General scenes of fear are shown throughout, but this is probably the most explicit.

No, but baby Godzillas do hatch out of eggs and references to Godzilla being pregnant are made several times. A pregnancy test is also bought and used.

A person isn't, but Godzilla should technically be a female if she reproduces parthenogenically, which is what the film says is happening. Since they keep referring to Godzilla as "he", even after they figure this out, Godzilla is technically getting mis-sexed.

In the context of animal asexual reproduction. Godzilla reproduces asexually, to which a character says “What’s the fun in that?” Played for laughs. Other characters express confusion about the concept.

For the humans, the ending is happy and hopeful (though a bit ambiguous). For Godzilla and his family, however, the ending is very sad.

There’s no exact category to warn for this, but the United States is portrayed extremely favorably in this movie. The original Godzilla originated from American bombing tests, but it looks bad for America’s image to have harmed people with nuclear weapons, so blame is shifted to the French in this movie.

There are several scenes around water that could suggest people drowned but they could have also died from the impact of Godzilla hitting them.
