As tempers and turmoil stirred during the dinner, Cathy got angry and, when the gentle turkey strolled by the window, she went after it with a meat cleaver. When she came back, she was bloodied and holding the dead turkey.

He does not die in season 2. Paul thinks Thomas died and covers him with a blanket, then a he is telling the bad news to Cathy, Thomas walks in wearing the blanket. I'm on season 3 and Thomas is still alive. I will update if he passes in the next two seasons.
