Gordon is pretty forgiving of the AI that gaslight him often. Particularly in Act 3 with Coomer after giving him a scare, and Bubby after betraying him, whom he forgives for 5 dollars.
the character who’s viewpoint the series is from sometimes struggles to leave the water due to ladders in video games being sucky, and he’s pushed back in to the water (only once & by accident, i think)
There is a running bit that the ammunition of Gordon's arm cannon is nails. Nothing visual, but the joke is just squicky and repeated enough to consider.
Depends on your definition of "excessive". There is a bit of blood/gore, but given the low-poly models and mostly light-hearted tone, it isn't particularly intense.
In Act 1, Benrey sacrifices themself to hold open an emergency fire garage door and gets crushed by it. However due to their ''not human'' nature, they're not dead for long. They make their return in Act 2.
Multiple times from each AI, mostly Benrey and Dr. Coomer, but it is softened by the fact the AI are mostly indestructible and are never dead for long.
Benrey, who says that he’s not human in Act 1: Part 1, is shown dying throughout the whole series, but always respawns back perfectly fine. At the end of Act 4, it’s implied that he has died in his battle. However, in the ACAB stream, he comes back alive and well
Not quite, but there are a few close calls and multiple instances of retching/gagging. Beware if you are sensitive to this or likely to have a sympathetic response.
During Act 4 when Gordon goes back to the locker room, Dr Coomer takes a very audible bathroom break, but it is just mouth noises. During Act 1 uncut VOD when they reach the offices, someone does a mediashare for fart noises twice.
In the final episode, there are two instances of pooping. One is only an audio gag and happens behind a closed door, while the other is easy to miss and just looks like brownish gas coming out of the GMOD avatar's butt.
Quite the opposite - Gordon shows distain towards the military, and a side stream, AI Crushes All Banks (ACAB), was held to raise money for bail funds in real life.
One of the main characters, Benrey, is sometimes mistaken for a cop by people unfamiliar with the series, but he is actually a security guard. Even if he were a cop, he is portrayed as antagonistic.
An autistic-coded character is mistakenly referred to as a child in the beginning, but nothing terrible actually happens to him directly because of his autism
Gordon is in a panicked state throughout a lot of act 3. It is acted quite realistically as the actor playing him was also having a panic attack in real life.
After the Coomer Clone fight in Act 3, part 2, the POV character Gordon states his intention to kill himself by swimming into propeller blades, but he fails at doing so.
No. But, something potentionally upsetting to some viewer out there is an offhand mention of a character saying he "needs his calories" and that he only drinks soda as sustenance. Nothing serious, but hey, everyone's different.
The AI characters occasionally leap into danger for comedic effect, though nothing is portrayed as permanent or serious due to video-game logic. Rest assured that nothing of this nature ever happens to the POV character.
There is a bit where Gordon and Benrey, arguing, make whiny baby noises at each other. It wasn't particularly realistic, but might be upsetting if you're sensitive to that?
Particularly in the later episodes, there is a significant plotline of one of the main characters, Dr. Coomer, becoming aware that he's inside a video game and isn't real.
Somewhat? In the very beginning Tommy says he only drinks soda for lunch and Gordon somewhat jokingly calls him a Freak once out of earshot. Tommy is referred to as a child a couple times as they genuinely weren't sure on his age yet.
No, not in universe. However beware watching the UNCUT version as there is some bigotry of that nature in the live twitch chat which was censored for the final cut.
if we are to take into account the fact that both benrey and dr. coomer were confirmed to be lgbt (via benrey's actor, socpens, commissioning art of benrey and gordon getting married, as well as benrey being confirmed to be "lusting after gordon"; and coomer's actress, hollow_tones, confirming coomer is bisexual) and that both are shown to die, yes. you could also take into account the fact that coomer does not permanently die, and benrey is not confirmed to be dead. maybe just be careful.
there are two confirmed (by word of god) queer characters, but only one is super apparent in the series. he is quite stereotypically played as a predatory gay man.
Kind of? Coomer makes multiple joking "Hotted Boobs" comments. In the uncut versions, Coomer mentions his "penis wenis" and Gordon says that the HEV suit jacks him off and the other characters have brief reactions to this.
The POV character is unable to escape an exploding car, though he is completely unharmed. A train car drives into him and he mimes being hit. This may be distressing due to the first-person nature of the show. The car later flies off the tracks with one of the AI on board, who is also unharmed. All of these incidents are played as jokes. There are no sounds or visuals typically associated with a crash.
Many instances of blood and gore. Characters occasionally have visible bloodstains on them, including 2 instances of a character's face being almost completely covered in blood to the point where some of their facial features are obscured.
