ReportA showman introduces a small coastal town to a unique movie experience and capitalises on the Cuban Missile crisis hysteria with a kitschy horror extravaganza combining film effects, stage props and actors in rubber suits in this salute to the B-movie.

A tiny kitten runs mewing up to a meaty bone that a medium-sized mongrel is already chewing on the ground in a dusty lot. The fervour with which the poor little guy goes after the bit of meat that’s got a known cat-hater attached to, chewing on the other side, means it was hungry enough to disregard its instincts to stay far away from a dog-threat in order to get a tiny morsel of old raw meat in the dirt. Having worked on a commercial before involving a cat, and having witnessed half a dozen or so adult cats in a van in individual cages stacked up, crying—for attention, a place to stretch their legs, a bit of food and water?? THE BASICS OF LIFE??—ALL DAY—-NEVER AGAIN!!
ANIMALS SHOULD NOT BE UTILISED IN ANY PRODUCTION FOR ANY REASON! Even if they’re not actually harmed or abused, they are most definitely sorely neglected and not fed or at the very least, watered, as they’re easier to “control” when hungry! I am so FED UP with the way cats are treated as essentially “disposable”! MAKES ME FURIOUS!
