The dog is not killed by a character; it dies frozen in the cold and the movie implies this happened by accident. We don't see the moment when it dies but we see its body, including close-ups.

The female protagonist has an assortment of pills, implied to be for poor health. Later it's implied that she was unknowingly being given sleeping pills by other characters.

SPOILER: the movie ends with the suggestion that the kids get shot. This isin’t seen on screen, nor do you hear a sound effect of a gunshot. The movie closes with a shot on a gun.

The cheating happens before the events of the film, but the fallout shown in the film may still be upsetting to some. The father has been having an affair for some time and his mistress is one of the main characters. The mother commits suicide when the father decides to finalize their divorce so that he can marry his mistress. The children are notably upset by the affair and its effects on their family, and they are cold toward their father and outright hostile towards the mistress.

This comment is spoiler heavy!! A character kills him self by shooting herself with a pistol through her head. Blood and gore is seen. Further on in the lodge you can see the effects of the cabin fever, almost all jumpscares in the lodge are results of nightmares and hallucinations. In the lodge there is a jumpscare where suddenly there’s a loud noise and a person is seen, this happens instantly and unsuspecting. Further there’s a jumpscare with a boy who hungs himself and near the end a little girl gets scared by a woman. This also happens instantly.

The person filming moves a lot whilst holding the camera so most scenes are shaky

Same scene as the drowning nightmare. Also the kid said he had a nightmare where they died because of suffocation. Also there’s a scene with a hanging, (SPOILER) although the kid isin’t suffocating, it can be a trigger.
