Really beautiful film. The artwork is incredibly stunning, the writing is poetic, and it really nails the conflicting feelings one encounters during the coming-of-age period in our lives. The first chapter, in particular, is sweet, wholesome, and surprisingly romantic.
A quick watch at just over an hour in length, and featuring only a small number of triggers, makes it pretty easy to enjoy the storyline without much worry or fear.
Synopsis
Three moments in Takaki's life: his relationship with Akari and their forced separation; his friendship with Kanae, who is secretly in love with him; the demands and disappointments of adulthood, an unhappy life in a cold city.
