A semi-biographical account of Yip Man, the first martial arts master to teach the Chinese martial art of Wing Chun. The film focuses on events surrounding Ip that took place in the city of Foshan between the 1930s to 1940s during the Second Sino-Japanese War. Directed by Wilson Yip, the film stars Donnie Yen in the lead role, and features fight choreography by Sammo Hung.

Someone's leg is so badly broken during a fight that the bottom half of the lower leg sort of dangles from the upper half. Another person's knee is broken by someone repeatedly stomping on it; we hear it crunch. Those aren't the only bone breaks in the movie, but they're the worst ones, if you ask me. I'm pretty sure every bone being broken or having been broken is covered by clothes.

Someone spits blood (quite a lot) into another person's face. I'm not sure if there's any other spitting. No farting.

I wouldn't call anything in the movie gore, but there's some blood, including quite a lot of blood being spat into someone's face and a big pool of blood forming around a man who's been shot.
