All things considered, bring a vampire movie, there’s actually not that much blood and there’s no gore. The blood is incredibly cheesy and unrealistic in a very low-budget 70s way.
It’s a vampire movie so yes, but in my opinion (as someone who really hates gore) it’s not bad. It’s in black and white, and it’s really cheesy. Also there’s not that much blood
Not outright but there is one character who had more disabled characteristics (picture uncle fester combined with Frankenstein’s monster) and he’s not depticted in the best light (i.e he doesn’t have hands because god was angry with him)
Subliminal. The vampire that of course must be fought with Christian symbolism has a comically large nose. But I don’t think(?) this is consciously anti-Semitic? But it is.
Not said and not technically but because of how the ‘vampirism’ is shown (when he’s a baby he’s very sick, he constantly needs blood and doesn’t feel good if he doesn’t have it) I saw it as mirroring a chronic illness (I’m chronically I’ll so maybe not everyone will view it this way)
This movie was made for a deaf audience, all the characters are deaf and are played by deaf actors. The movie was originally made completely just in ASL but later they added a English voice over for a hearing audience.
