A man Mr Bean calls in search of Stepan's father says "tell me you love me, or it's over", and kills himself after Mr Bean hangs up.

While Mr Bean tries calling numbers in search of Stepan's father, they call a man who threatens suicide in French, thinking that the call is coming from his girlfriend. Not understanding what the man said, they hang up, and the man jumps from a bridge into a river, presumably dying.
