Izzie is introduced in season 2. She has 3 younger siblings. Over the course of the show it is implied that her mother is neglectful and even emotionally abusive. Many times, teenage Izzie seems to be given too much responsibility in taking care of the siblings. The mum bullies her, implying that she will never be anything. The mother is introduced in S4E5 and shown on-screen again in S4E6. Sam's mum has a hard time trusting Sam with more responsibility and independency.

Main character's friend repeatedly makes sexual commentary about women and it can be very uncomfortable. There are also some situations with the main character himself involving sexual interest, and even a scene where he breaks into his therapist's home to leave her a present of chocolate covered strawberries.

Several scenes take place in clothing stores. Mannequins can briefly be seen in some shots. Unless you have a severe mannequin phobia, nothing overtly disturbing ever happens involving a mannequin.

Part of the reason why I love this show is because no one actually throws up. It’s great because a show or movie never needs that and it’s so unnecessary especially to me as an emetaphobe. A small but very big reason.

Sam's mother cheats on her husband with another man and later in the series she casually brings up having had some same-sex relationships when she was younger. However, she never identifies herself as bisexual.

although it may seem subtle or even look absent entirely to a non-autistic person, there are themes of this throughout the entire show such as the parents wishing their autistic son was normal, portraying autistic people as violent or hopelessly clueless, and the show being set up for the viewer to laugh at the autistic character instead of with him many times.

at the end of season 1 the main character has a sensory overload on the bus. this is very similar to an anxiety attack. in season 2 Doug has an anxiety attack and collapses

It’s not shown in the show but during the second season Elsa wanted Sam to go to someone described multiple times as a “behavioral therapist,” and the attempt is unsuccessful since Sam goes to his peer group instead.

In one episode, Casey gets all depressed and stays in bed for a long time. When she gets out of bed she reveals that she hasn't eaten in 40 hours, and needs food now. This is due to depression/low mood, not an eating disorder but it can still be triggering.

Casey developed anxiety in season 4 and she bites her nails and fingers into making them bleed. Not specifically self harm but it can be really triggering since she's hurting herself to control the anxiety

Not very often i remember there was flashing lights season 1 episode 8 if you have epilepsy/triggerd by flashing lights just skip the first 10 minutes of the show (you won't miss much) and some flashing lights were seen season 1 (forgot what episode) it is right after casey had been told Evan got arrested and Arlo got out of the car (it happens when Arlo is making fun of Sam but i would skip it from when Arlo gets out of the car)

Depends on your definition of "obscene." Early in the first season, the mother flips the bird at Sam's therapist's door. Zahid also pantomimes having sex.

A big topic of the series is sex. The main character loses his virginity throughout the show, the sex scene is not visual though and it is only indicatet that it happens. There are multiple scenes talking about the main characters 'firsts' (e.g. a blowjob). Considering that the main characters sister is young and gets into a relationship, she might also lose her virginity, however, this is not mentioned and no sex scenes or talk about sex happen on-screen.

There are lot of discussions about underage sex (and then the characters turn 18) so there's also adult sex(technically).
