Aida Mana is a girl who is always eager to do things for the sake of others. One day, when she was visiting the Clover Tower during her school's orientation program, an enemy who called themselves "Selfish" appeared suddenly, and tried to manipulate her inner heart! To fight this enemy, she borrowed power from a magical fairy Sharuru to transform into Pretty Cure!To protect the peace of the world, other legendary Pretty Cure soon joined her in battle! A mysterious baby also appears, making each day a "Heartthrob" experience! The 4 Cures, always holding "love" in their hearts, are battling for the world's fate!
In episode 8, there is a sheep monster horde that, when they use their power and jump over a fence, it puts the girls (and even Marmo, the one who summoned them in the first place) to sleep.
Later on in the series, Ira is knocked out to the point of memory loss, and Rikka has to nurse him back to health.
The protagonists, 4 of which are moddle schoolers and one of which is an elementary schooler (who becomes a 17 year old when she transforms), end up fighting villains who want them dead.
Spoilers below
Aguri/Cure Ace is said to go from 10-11 years old to 17 when transforming because of her mature heart (/nx), essentially being called mature for her age to the highest caliber. So I'd skip this if that could be triggering.
A dog dies, in the movie.
It doesn't happen just for shock value.
I don't know about other animals, I haven't finished watching this series yet (I've watched up to episode 37).
