ReportKept locked inside the house by her father, 7-year-old Chloe lives in fear and fascination of the outside world, where Abnormals create a constant threat - or so she believes. In a passive aggressive sense - Chloe's father wants to keep her safe (for good reason) however in doing so inflicts a good deal emotional trauma her way

Eleos
The protagonist, Chloe, is treated in a violent and abusive way by her father, including gaslighting, manipulation, emotional abuse, allowing her no contact or emotional connection with others, locking her in closets as punishment, and at one point attempting to nail the closet door shut with her inside.
Other characters behave in a manipulative and threatening way towards Chloe all through the film, but the father's behavior occupies a large part of the film.

No intentional misuse/abuse of drugs, but daughter Chloe is tricked by her granddad into using a sedative powder of some sort in her dad's drink to put him to sleep for a while

There is a mention of assassinations against superhumans being carried out this way (via firebombing of their homes) off screen, and the protagonist characters nearly die this way.

The protagonist, Chloe, to subjected to torturous and abusive living conditions by her father, including extensive manipulation and gaslighting, locking her in dark closets, and at one point trying to board her up inside a room.
Chloe's mother is also being imprisoned and tortured, which is shown on-screen, but not graphically.

The key give-away in the storyline that someone is a 'freak/abnormal' is bleeding from the eyes like bloody tears, so on 2 occasions 2 different minor characters have an eye stabbed by a pen (not graphically) so they are subsequently misidentified as such & killed. The first - a cook in a diner/cafe kitchen after he overhears conversation between Chloe & her grandad, the second - a neighbour as she talks to an AFD officer

Yes & No... hard to explain without spoiling all the surprises. At minimum SPOILER WARNING; sad because of the death of Chloe's father & grandfather, but happy because she is reunited with her mum

About midway through the film Chloe is almost hit by a car on the road in front of her house but is saved by her father - revealing his power to create time bubbles & yet another important step in the plot development. As he casually picks Chloe up & walks away the out of control car continues in super slo-mo to slide its rear end out & collect a fire hydrant. Nothing too serious
