Mason & Doc Long go fishing at the start of the movie & catch some fish. Pretty safe to say those fish were real & died.
However, there's no reason to believe that the dog that plays Bosco was harmed while filming.

This is one of those yes & no situations. Brynner technically killed himself (which is shown on screen) but it was an accidental suicide

Before anyone jumps on me, I've been fat my whole life (due to many factors) & have my fair-share of experiences with fatphobia. I personally don't find any of the following offensive, hence why I said no. However, there are two parts of this movie that someone may -HYPOTHETICALLY- find offensive. First one is Arlo referring to Sam as a fat-ass. Second is that the name of one of the talking extras near the end of the movie is "Fat Man in Tunnel"

Arlo refers to a handful of main characters as Wacko's early on in the movie. Then calls Mason a psycho about half way through

Vaughn, the only woman in Brynner's terrorist group, does get her fair share of beatings during fight scenes. However, Mason & Arlo fight her no differently than her male groupmates

Religion isn't discussed as a whole. However, when Brynner first talks to Doc Long in Darlene's store, he does say the lines " if the road to hell is paved with good intentions, we know you'll find your way there quickly. And don't worry. It's not such a bad place. I should know, after all."

Technically, Mason stays behind while the others escape the tunnel, but Arlo goes back for him. Both characters leave the tunnel alive

While there's no body horror, there is body mutilation in scenes where the bomb, Elvis, gets set off. When it goes off at the start of the movie, the men outside of the bomb shelter at Horn Island have their skin melted off. When the bomb gets set off at the end of the movie, the only person who was within range of the bomb has their face blown off, then their (dated cgi) skeleton disintegrates

At the start of the movie, Doc Long is very dismissive of Brynner's concerns. Saying that there's no real danger of the experiment, despite not having evidence to back his claims

Even though there isn't copaganda, there is some military propaganda (despite Brynner having accurate criticisms of the military throughout the whole movie)
