A meteorite, strange vegetation, a colour: an experimental take on H.P. Lovecraft's spiral into madness, shot with a vintage camera on truly unique LomoChrome 16mm film.
This movie contains 20 potentially triggering events.
Early in the movie, it's obvious something's going on with the dog. We don't see him again until about 2/3's of the way through and he's bin sad shape.
A character is cutting vegetables in the kitchen and is zoning out. There's multiple shots of the knife getting closer to the end of a carrot. The character absent-mindedly slices off half of two fingers and holds up the mutilated hand. After this scene it is only seen in a bandage.
Yes, but it’s not physical, more psychological.
Despite her pleading with him not to, the father forces Lavinia into the room with the mother/child amalgamation. She is almost eaten and severely traumatized.
Early in the movie, it's obvious something's going on with the dog. We don't see him again until about 2/3's of the way through and he's bin sad shape. Shortly after that, the Alpacas have been effected similarly to the dog so badly they must be shot. Also the cat dies as well a bit earlier than that. BUT they special effects are obvious so it doesn't feel quite so horrible. I advise at least muting for a minute once the dad goes into the barn at the two/thirds-ish mark. Then at the 3/4 mark, when the surveyor comes down the courthouse steps, fast forward a bit - there's a scene with a bunch of grotesque looking dead animals in the back of the truck.
At 1h 08 something weird and gross happens to the alpacas.
At 1h 17m something even more gross and distressing happens to them. And they have to be shot. They are heard crying in pain. Fast forward for a couple of minutes when the dad goes to the barn to check on them.
At 1h 23m two men have a truck and in the back there's a mangled mess of a bunch of dead animals
Character cuts their limbs, face, other parts as part of an occult ritual and carves letters and runes into their skin. There are close ups of the event and blood.
There’s a scene where the mother and her child are fused together and you can hear them suffer slowly while they agonize. Sincerely, I stopped watching then and there, but they can only be dying (or worst) after that.
