You get references to Shagal overcharging people for money. There's also bit where Magda tries to hold him off with a crucifix which does not work, because he's a Jewish vampire. He's generally lecherous towards her the whole film, abducts her, and eventually eats her as a vampire. He was clearly supposed to be comic character but combining it with vampirism meant the blood drinking got uncomfortably close to blood libel. The director is a Holocaust survivor so probably a case of trying to satirize those tropes rather than play them straight, but be aware they're there.
