A character uses the R slur in relation to an autistic child, but it is condemned. The family of the autistic child tries their best to support him, however some scenes are tense as they try to handle the difficulties his behavior poses. The father also doesn't acknowledge him as autistic.

The character was minor, but as she was murdered we see her corpse. (It might be worth noting there is a recurring female character who is very openly into women, and she is still alive and well by the end of season 1.)

A character's sister died of leukemia, however this is only mentioned. There is also a medical scene where a person's condition is stated to be "Stage 4" which seems like cancer at first until it is revealed as something else.
There's a hornets nest outside a character's house. He is stung once, and later knocks it down. This results in him being hospitalized for anaphylactic shock from the stings.
A character murders his child's mother. We see flashes of the violence. There are also tense moments between family members such as a father aggressively trying to scrub a tattoo off his daughter's shoulder.
After the dog is hit by the car, Pax bashes its head in with a rock (his words) to "put it out of its misery" or some awful justification like that. HOW ABOUT TAKE THE DAMN DOG TO AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL YOU SICK F--K.
No one is sexually assaulted on screen, however there is a recurring character who is a sex offender and talks about what he did. It's also worth noting that someone's nudes are shared without their consent.
Episode 1: At 38:04, man puts drops in his mouth, then drinks out of the bottle. He drives away, but pulls over and vomits. Audio and visual.
Episode 10: The detective vomits into a bag after taking a hallucinogenic at 35:44. It happens right after the scene cuts from the family watching a fire.
