1975, Swiss Alps: In a remote mountain village, a beautiful and mysterious woman shows up. Only the village policeman takes care of the strange woman and tries to find out who she is. There are hints that she came from the Höhenalp Alp, where herdsmen do unthinkable things to get the company of women. Many dark truths are revealed that should better have remained hidden. A tragedy of lust, insanity and murder is brought to a seemlingly pure and perfect world. It is the beginning of a nightmare of religious insanity, hypocrisy, abuse and belief in demons, who destroys a young family and brings a whole village to destruction.

A lot of goats die I. This movie! 29:40 A Mountain Goat is accidentally shot when a man was aiming for the Lynx that had taken down the goat. It's still alive and suffering and we see that for about 30 seconds before another man finally breaks its neck. 56:00 We see the goat being cut up for use then see it hanging in a 4-square position and the men removing the hide. 01:16:58 We see that 5 goats have been slaughtered. They are hanging with about half of their skin peeled back and their entrails spilling out. 01:23:05 The goat carcasses are dumped from a wheelbarrow over a mountain top. It's a little disturbing because it looks alive when it's falling with legs out.
