Up to interpretation. A dad never has time to spend with his daughter, and so even though he is physically present and takes care of her needs, she is emotionally neglected. He also constantly dismissed her belief in fairies. This is all resolved by the end of the film.

There’s a lot of bugs in glass cases. This is horrifying to the fairies because they care for the bugs, and also are worried they’ll end up as specimens too.

Sort of? Bobble uses a sharp twig or thorn as a sewing needle, and pokes himself on the tip of it multiple times accidentally.
