Cat death is frequently used as a source of humor throughout the show, aside from a few select cases where it's used as shock value instead. Cat death, or otherwise harm, has been discussed and shown frequently, with one of the main characters being known for eating them, and another mentions neglecting them to the point they die. Perhaps the worst example is the opening of one episode, where a pet cat is shown wandering, before being attacked and eaten with no warning.

The friend of the main character has next to no meaningful characterization other than “haha fat person”. It would take forever to list all the ways they do this character dirty. He has potential as a dynamic character but they took the fatphobia route full steam ahead so prepare to give him good characterization yourself.
