It happens occasionally, usually for another purpose than to kill themselves but it is still upsetting. Times i remember are the first episode julia cuts into her forearm so she will remember what has happened earlier in the episode. In season 3 e8 a character has to cut into her arm to keep a spell up this is the most graphic because its shown on screen repeatedly and we see many more cuts on her arm. And in season 4 a main character slits her wrists open it is not shown on screen but we see the aftermath and its very bloody. that scene is also shown on the recap the next episode. she has another purpose to her actions but still

During a wedding ceremony someone is decapitated. We don’t see the cut itself but we see the blood splatter, the head roll off the body (from an over shoulder view, if that makes any sense), and the body collapsing.

There are a few instances where things happen suddenly which might jumpscare someone. The only example that comes to mind at the moment is when julia and josh travel to timeline 23 and they must search the library for the spell that can kill the beast which 'some stundents' attempted but it got them killed and they have become ghosts. While searching, the ghost of one of said students suddenly appears in front of julia and marina 23 which julia realises is the ghost of eliot (the ghosts are eliot and margo), which is full of blood and looks very creepy as it appears (if i remember correctly he was smiling)

Not that I've noticed, but there is mention of "eugenics" books destroying a "Jewish" author's book in the school's library and having to be locked up in a restricted section afterward. (The books are alive) I assume it was more a dig at the antisemitics.

No, but the first person to get horribly assaulted on camera in the show is black.

This show does not treat their LGBT characters well. Many spoilers ahead:

- Eliot's boyfriend Mike is possessed and he is forced to kill him
- One of Julia's friends played by a trans actress is killed
- Marina 40 is tortured and killed
- Martin Chatwin (queer coded) is sexually abused as a child and must be killed as it turns him into a villain
- Side lesbian in vegetable state has Julia kill her
- A mlm ghost is shown to have been choked to death by his dad
- The fairy queen, played by a trans actress, sacrifices herself
- Eliot & Quentin die in an alternate timeline, albeit of old age
- Eliot 23 & Margo 23 are dead and appear as ghosts in that timeline
- Quentin kills himself in the timeline where he lost his shade
- Quentin sacrifices himself in the s4 finale

There is a kind of dream sequence where the main character unconsciously gives his friend a stereotypical indian accent.

After being elected King, Margo (a female) is referred to as male a couple of times by Ember in dreams, in a sexist “you look like a girl but there’s no way a king could be a girl” kind of way

Margo at one point makes a fat joke, but it is not in reference to a particular character. There have been no plus-size main characters that I've seen. The joke is in season 2, episode 3 and is made to Quentin while he is aiming an arrow. He does give a chiding look.

Sort of. Alice and Quentin have sex with each other while shapeshifted into foxes in 1x07. Multiple references are made throughout the series, starting in 1x12, to humans and Fillorian animals having sexual relationships. All consensual, as they have human level intelligence, but they are physically animals.

This show has a lot of sexual content. I will return with more instances, but I would not watch if you are a minor or around children. Or if sexual content is triggering. There is also sexual assault, and a lot of talk about sexual assault. There are also many sexual innuendos and jokes.

Not at all. Julia becomes pregnant twice, the first is conceived via rape and she terminates it. All characters support her (even the ones who have legitimate reason to be angry with her state they’ll put it aside to help her seek the magical abortion she needs).
The second time she is pregnant, she’s worried because of her first pregnancy and is wondering about whether to keep it. Another character (who very much enjoyed being pregnant but lost her baby) discusses the pregnancy and encourages her to just make a choice and they’ll be supported, she doesn’t try to impose her wish for a baby on her (she ultimately keeps the baby but note it wasn’t wholly her choice… through magical schenanigans her pregnancy is sped-up but I believe she would have chose to keep it)

Plot points are resolved and the series is still ongoing. Although most parts are sad as f**k some people have their happy ending.

In season 1, episode twelve, there is a scene where the main characters are attempting to sneak through somewhere they shouldn't be, and they are found. Margo pulls out a gun and shoots the person that found them. In season 3, episode 13, the main characters are in a castle that is home to a god-like monster, and Eliot attempts to kill it using a god-killing bullet, but instead it leaves the body it was in and possesses another person.
