In the last episode Brian & RJ give the dog Valium and drive him out to the woods and leave him there. You see the dog chasing the car as it drives off and a bit later RJ is consoling Maureen about the dog being gone. Ultimately we don’t know what happens to him after they leave him.

When the dog is first on the show it is mentioned that he was abused by previous owners. No specifics, just that he’d been abused. Then in the last episode Brian & RJ give the dog Valium and drive him out to the woods and leave him there. You see the dog chasing the car as it drives off and a bit later RJ is consoling Maureen about the dog being gone. Ultimately we don’t know what happens to him after they leave him.
